"My favorite thing about teaching is when a student grasps something they've been working so hard to achieve, whether it's hitting a new note, fixing a mistake that's been stumping them or gaining a deeper artistic understanding for their piece. I'm thankful to them everyday for their hard work, putting their trust in me, and always giving 100%. I am especially proud when I see how much they've grown in their stage performances. They are my daily reminder of how lucky I am to get to do what I truly love."

We know voice lessons can seem intimidating, especially for beginners. A lot of folks think they're either too old or that they don't have enough experience but let us take that pressure off of you. It is never too late to start or continue something you truly enjoy! At Born Singer Studio we teach all levels because we know that all levels are good levels! We aim to create a space where you can feel comfortable and safe enough to make mistakes, even laugh about them as you continue to grow in your journey. Karina Roque

Studio Owner & Instructor

Karina Roque has her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Riverside. She specialized in Music, with a focus in Vocal Performance. Karina found her love for singing at only six years old. She was a choir kid all her life and that path led her to amazing performance opportunities including Disney Concert Hall, as well as Carnegie Hall, in New York City. Karina found her love for musical theatre later in life which helped her expand her foundations. She has been blessed enough to teach private lessons for seven years and is grateful to be a part of her students' journeys.
